Drop Shot Practice & Placement Drill
Where Are the Players?
- One Player lines up at the service line in between the center and the singles line. The opposing player will stand in the same position on the opposite side of the net, directly across from the other player so they are facing each other.
Getting Busy with the Drills
-Player A places a shot that lands in the other players' service box. ( If the skillset does not allow for this accuracy then move them to a place on teh court that will support success)
-Player A then runs to the baseline and Player B which is the receiving player hits a drop shot
-Player A then runs from the baseline to reach the drop shot and point is played out in half the court.
As the skillset of the players improve you can add scoring and placement targets.
